I have a passion for teaching computer skills to adults. As a community college instructor I teach both online and on-ground courses, semester-long and short workshops.
The courses I teach are relevant, personal and engage the learner. Online courses have rich interactive content and Web 2.0 technologies (VoiceThread, video, and audio) that create a social community among learners, and an instructor presence. All courses emphasize an inclusive environment for students of varied learning styles, skill levels, and accessibility.
I have researched, designed, developed, and taught courses for private industry and academic institutions (Sierra College and San Diego State University). Education includes a BA from San Diego State University, and continuing professional course work in assessment and instruction, adult learning methodologies, web design, audio, video, animation, graphics, design, illustration, and web 2.0 technologies.
